Live is getting livelier
Live music is more popular than ever. With the ever decreasing record sales due to the excessively large Free download market, more and more artists and record companies are looking to live performance as a means to an end. We at Pretap music have never underestimated the power of live music
The bands from Pretap Music have been flying the 'live music flag' from day one

The Ike Leo Trio in its various formats have been delivering it's Jazz message to various venues around London, namely Flavas Bar and Grill in Ealing and also The Winchester in Islington.
Oniva have seured a residency at the very plush 'Park Plaza Hotel' near Big Ben where they create 'Live Jukebox' which is a concept where the audience can choose the songs they would like to hear from the band list thus creating a very entertaining evening.
Mezcla de Londres have been putting in their bit with performances around London with great emphasis on gigs at the World Famous Floridita where they Rocked the house with a 9 piece band on 17 July. There will be another gig at this great venue in August so keep posted. They have also been performing some quinteto gigs at the intimate venue The Winchester

Phenomina Music
Pretap Music now has a dedicated company taking care of booking the acts as well as engaging in promotional and booking activities.
Phenomina Music will be working with the artists from Pretap Music with the purpose of furthering the live aspect of their carrers.
They will also be working on external promotion and booking projects that may involve some of the acts from Pretap Music

The Very Special Evenings
The heart of China town has witnessed some amazing music over the past year form the Pretap music label. The phenomena started on Wednesdays in September 2005 with Jazz from the Ike Leo Trio with some of London's premier Jazz musicians. Then at the beginning of 2006, because of the success of the evenings, the Wednesdays changed from Jazz to the regular appearance of funky band Oniva. But because of the popularity of the Jazz and the many requests for its return it was reintroduced on regular on Sundays from April until December in 2006 with The Ike Leo Trio where again each week featured a regular new and changing line up of some of London's best Jazz musicians, the results of which can be seen via the live videos on the Trio Video page. From time to time there were appearances of dynamic Salsa band Mezcla de Londres and recently the unveiling of unique African influenced project Distant Cousins.
